Hello ladies and gentlemen! In perusing for costume ideas, I generally tend to go for simple and funny. What? Oh, yeah...replace simple and funny with 'lazy and lazy'. Last year I went to a party with a sign around my neck that said 'Nudist on Strike' and was quite comfortable wearing sweatpants all night long.
Anyhow, this year things will be different! And I've looked to my celebrity betters to provide me with some inspiration. So here they are: Metric Jenn's Top Ten List of Funny, Clever, or Just Balls-Out Awesome Celebrity Halloween Costumes:

Katie Couric as The Donald? Layers, people. Layers of hilarity! |
9)
You know what? Hate on Kelly Osborne all you want, but the fact remains that dressing up as breakfast will earn you a place in my clogged left ventricle forever. |
8)
Ellen! *gasps for air between bursts of laughter* Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahhhhhhhhh! ....It *is* getting hot in here. |
7)
I can't say I'm a fan of these two, but at least it's a cute idea! And it's not overtly ridiculously sexy/trashy like so many other celebrity costumes I've witnessed while compiling this list. |
6)
Katy Perry as Freddie Mercury. Again, layers of hilarity, people. SO MANY LAYERS. |
5)
I must also give props to Jason Biggs for dressing up as Dorothy...The puppy! In the basket!!! Smushums! What? I don't care if it IS a stuffed dog. Dude went all out, and it rules. |
4)
A murder-y butcher? Bette Midler, you are so fantastic. |
3)
Eliza Dushku and Rick Fox as dead Bonnie and Clyde? WIN. Why? If you have to ask why, then you have no soul. |
2)
Seal as Eve and Heidi Klum as the Snake and Apple? Sweet tap-dancing Buddha, they really bring it. |
Aaaaannndddd who's #1??? It's really a no-brainer. These 2 knock it the hell out of the park EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR.

Yep. These two again. But seriously. 2 incredibly original and elaborate costumes? Uh, yeah. I dub this couple the King and Queen of Halloween. |
